In September of 2017 Detective Shawn Nutcher began an investigation pertaining to child pornography. With the assistance of the Milford Police Department, an investigation was initiated.

On March 21, 2018 Hamden Police executed a search and seizure warrant at 15 Oregon Avenue. Officers seized multiple storage media devices, including computers. Upon examining these items, 5,500 still image and movie files of suspected child pornography were found.

Detective Nutcher subsequently submitted an arrest warrant application to Meriden Superior Court for Gino Jeanetti. The court approved the arrest warrant application.

On June 18th Jeanetti, 27, of 15 Oregon Avenue, Hamden was arrested at his residence. He was charged with Possession of Child Pornography in the 1st Degree. Jeanetti, who was detained on a court-ordered $35,000.00 bond, is scheduled to appear at Meriden Superior Court on July 6, 2018.
