6/19/2018 - 6/19/18 two juveniles arrested in stolen vehicle

On June 19th at approximately 2:00a.m. Hamden Police responded to an Old Coach Highway residence on the report of a stolen motor vehicle. Officers were advised that the homeowner was following his stolen vehicle on Shepard Avenue.

Shortly thereafter, Officer Peter Conti observed the stolen vehicle traveling southbound on Dixwell Avenue. The two occupants subsequently exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Officer Keron Bryce and Officer Christina Giori arrested one of the individuals. Officer Conti located the second individual hiding underneath a parked vehicle.

The two individuals are 17 year-old juveniles. They were charged with Larceny in the 1st Degree and Interfering with a Police Officer. They are both scheduled to appear in Juvenile Court in New Haven on July 10th.
