On March 30, 2018 Hamden Police responded to Stop and Shop, 2335 Dixwell Avenue on the report of a larceny.

Investigation revealed that an individual, who was later identified as Michael Girolomoni, exited the store with several bottles of energy drinks, valued at nearly $75.00. As Girolomoni was placing the stolen items into his motor vehicle, he was approached by a store manager. Girolomoni “yelled” at the store manager and “pushed her out of the way.” He subsequently fled in his vehicle onto Dixwell Avenue.

Officer Kelley Cushman conducted the investigation, which led to the application of an arrest warrant for Girolomoni. The court approved the arrest warrant application.

On July 3rd Hamden Police arrested Michael Girolomoni, 47, of 16 Church Street, East Haven. He was charged with Robbery in the 2nd Degree. Girolomoni, who was detained on a court-ordered $50,000.00 bond, is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on July 16th.
