On August 19, 2018 at approximately 12:15a.m. Hamden Police responded to a Battis Road residence on the report of a domestic dispute.
Investigation revealed that Jacob Onativia was involved in a verbal dispute with his girlfriend. Onativia subsequently assaulted his girlfriend, striking her in the face with an “open hand” and pushing her to the ground. The violence continued, when Onativia broke the window of her motor vehicle.
Further investigation led to the search of Onativia’s bedroom. Officers located 2 bags of cocaine (32.1 grams), marijuana (4.5 grams) and drug paraphernalia. Onativia was arrested and transported to police headquarters.
Hamden Police arrested Jacob Onativia, 26, of 47 Winnett Street, Hamden. He was charged with Assault in the 3rd Degree, Disorderly Conduct, Criminal Mischief in the 3rd Degree, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Sell and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Onativia, who was released after posting a $5,000.00 bond, is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court today.
