On November 13th at approximately 4:00p.m. Hamden Police responded to Dudley Street on the report of a shooting.

Moments later, officers found Leeandre Benton, 18, of Hamden, lying near the Farmington Canal Trail. Benton had been shot multiple times. Benton was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Benton succumbed to his injuries this morning.

The Hamden Police Department Major Crimes Unit and Crime Scene Unit are conducting the investigation.
