On September 16, 2022 at approximately 5:15 PM, Hamden Police Officers responded to Dixwell Avenue near Cherry Ann Street on a reported motor vehicle accident involving an automobile and motorcycle. The operator of the motorcycle, a 36-year-old male, suffered serious injuries in the collision. He was treated on scene by Hamden Fire Rescue and transported to Yale New Haven Hospital.
The Hamden Police Department’s Accident Reconstruction Team responded to the accident scene and are leading the investigation. Dixwell Avenue was closed for several hours while police investigated. The road has since reopened.
