I am pleased to announce, effective immediately, that Sergeant Angela Vey has been named as the new Public Information Officer (PIO) for the Hamden Police Department. Sgt. Vey has also been assigned to serve as the Commander of our Training Division as well as our Social Media Coordinator.

Sgt. Vey has served the Hamden Police Department since 2007. She previously served 6 years with the Guilford Police Department. During her career in Hamden, she has had assignments as a Patrol Officer, School Resource Officer, Community Liaison Officer, and Police Explorer Coordinator. She was promoted to Sergeant in 2021 and served in the Patrol Division as a first line Supervisor.
