On November 1, 2018 at approximately 12:45a.m. Hamden Police responded to the area of Dixwell Avenue and Hamden Park Drive on the report of “shots fired.”

Shortly thereafter, Central Communications was notified by personnel from Yale- New Haven Hospital (Saint Raphael Campus), that a shooting victim had arrived with a gunshot wound to the arm.

Hamden Police determined that the victim of the shooting, an 18 year-old Hamden resident, was shot while traveling in his motor vehicle. His vehicle sustained damage from several gunshots.
