Shooting – Helen Street – 07/19/23

As reported yesterday, July 19, 2023, at 15:31 pm, Hamden Police Officers investigated a shooting on Helen Street. The Major Crimes Unit investigated this incident into the evening and early morning hours and were able to charge the following 18-year-old Hamden resident responsible for this incident:
Arrestee:
Omarion Talon Gordon (DOB 11/12/2004)
45 Roosevelt Street, 2nd Floor
Hamden Ct.
Charges:
Assault 1st Degree 53-59(a)(5)
Carrying a Pistol Without a Permit 29-35
Gordon was held on bond and transported to Meriden Superior Court this morning.
I would like to commend all the Officers who worked diligently on this investigation, specifically Sergeant Jomo Crawford, Detective Jay Bunnell, Detective Shawn Nutcher, and Detective Andrew Lipford. The investigation remains open and active.
