On September 18th, 2023 at approximately 10:20pm, Hamden Police Officers responded to the area Butler Street and Goodrich Street for a report of shots fired. Officer Jack Hilton arrived on scene and located a 34 year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck and cheek. The victim was transported to the hospital and is currently in critical, but stable condition.

The Hamden Police Department Crime Scene Unit and Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. The investigation is open and ongoing and anyone with information is encouraged to contact Detective Andrew Lipford at 203-230-4000, or alipford@hamdenpd.com.
