On November 8, 2018 at approximately 9:30p.m. Hamden Police responded to Family Dollar, 1245 Dixwell Avenue on the report of an armed robbery.

Investigation revealed that an individual, described as a white male, wearing a ski mask and hooded sweatshirt entered the store and proceeded behind the counter. He then “pulled out” a handgun and pointed it at a clerk, while demanding money. The individual subsequently removed the cash register and fled towards a motor vehicle that was parked in a rear lot. An undisclosed amount of money was stolen. There were no reported injuries.
