On October 19th, 2023 at approximately 8:00pm, Hamden Police Officers responded to the area of 453 Shelton Avenue for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, the female Victim stated that she was involved in a physical altercation with another female in front of 432 Shelton Avenue. Shortly after the initial altercation, an unknown male arrived in the area and fired several shots toward the Victim.
One of the projectiles penetrated a parked, unoccupied vehicle. One projectile penetrated the exterior of 445 Shelton Avenue and entered the living room of the home. The projectile penetrated a TV and lodged into an interior living room wall. One resident of the home was in the living room when the incident occurred, but was not injured.
Detectives from the Hamden Police Department Major Crimes Unit as well as the Crime Scene Unit responded to process the scene. No one was injured during this incident.
