On November 2, 2023 at approximately 5:10am, the Hamden Police Department responded to the area of 3800 Whitney Avenue for a report of a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, Officers located a single motor vehicle that had stuck a utility pole, which was in need of immediate repair. As a result, Whitney Avenue will be closed between Shepard Avenue and Lawrence Road while repairs are made. The operator of the vehicle was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
