On 01/23/24 Hamden Police Officers responded to a Woodin Street address on a call for assistance from the Hamden Fire Department who were there on a medical call.
Upon arrival, Police Officers were not able to establish contact with residents of the address. Responding Officers smelled a slight odor of natural gas. As a result, the surrounding streets were temporarily closed off and a perimeter was established around the residence.
Once contact was established with the residents the incident was determined to be of a medical nature. The odor of natural gas was determined to be an outdoor propane tank. Police officers cleared the scene a short time later.
