On 04/04/24 Hamden Police Officers responded to Planet Fitness located at 2100 Dixwell Ave. on a report of a bomb threat. This threat was initially reported to the New Haven Police Department.
The building was evacuated and searched by members of the New Haven Police Department bomb squad. Nothing suspicious was found. The building was reopened a short time later. There is no threat to the public at this time.
This incident is being investigated by the Hamden and New Haven Police Department’s with the assistance of the FBI New Haven Office.
