On November 4, 2018 at approximately 4:00a.m. Officer Justin Thibault observed a motor vehicle traveling on Beacon Street “without headlights illuminated.” A motor vehicle stop was subsequently conducted on Leeder Hill Drive.

Hamden Police determined that the vehicle was stolen earlier in the morning from a North Haven residence. Officers arrested the 16 year-old New Haven resident, who was uncooperative. He was transported to police headquarters.

The juvenile was charged with Larceny in the 3rd Degree, Interfering with a Police Officer, Operating without a License, Disobeying an Officers Signal, Improper Turn and Driving without Headlights. The juvenile is scheduled to appear in Juvenile Court in New Haven on November 13th.
