On May 7, 2024 at approximately 11:43am Officers of the Hamden Police Department responded to the New Haven Police substation on Winchester Avenue in New Haven on a report of a shooting victim who had been wounded in Hamden. Hamden Police Officers subsequently responded to the area of Goodrich Street and Goodyear Street in Hamden and located the crime scene.
Officers determined that an unknown individual approached the 34 year old male victim and they had a verbal argument. The unknown individual then produced a firearm and shot at the male victim wounding him. The unknown individual then fled the scene. The victim was transported to the hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
