On November 22, 2018 at approximately 9:30p.m. Hamden Police responded to 1545 Whitney Avenue on the report of a domestic dispute, involving a stabbing. 

Investigation revealed that Kareem Henderson, 37, and Rasheen Johnson, 23, were involved in a verbal dispute, pertaining to an incident that occurred earlier. The dispute escalated into a physical confrontation, at which time Johnson stabbed Henderson in the “left armpit area.” Hamden Fire Rescue rendered medical assistance. Henderson was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital for medical treatment. Johnson is Henderson’s son-in-law. 

Hamden Police arrested Rasheen Johnson, 23, of 1545 Whitney Avenue, Hamden. He was charged with Assault in the 2nd Degree and Breach of Peace. Johnson, who was released on a $10,000.00 bond, is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on November 23rd. 

Kareem Henderson, 37, of 1545 Whitney Avenue, Hamden. He was charged with Breach of Peace. Henderson, who was released on a written promise to appear, is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on November 23rd.
