In January of 2018, Detective Shawn Nutcher of the Computer Crimes Unit began an investigation pertaining to child pornography. With the assistance of the Connecticut State Police, an investigation was initiated.

On July 24, 2018, Hamden Police executed a search and seizure warrant at 168 Sebec Street, Hamden, CT. Officers seized multiple storage media devices, including computers. Upon examining these items, 1,424 still image and movie files of suspected child pornography were found.

Detective Nutcher subsequently submitted an arrest warrant application to Meriden Superior Court for Anthony Deluise. The court approved the arrest warrant application.

On December 31, 2018, Anthony Deluise, 58, of 168 Sebec Street, Hamden, was arrested at Police Headquarters. He was charged with Possession of Child Pornography in the 1st Degree. Deluise, who was released after posting a court-ordered $25,000.00 bond, is scheduled to appear at Meriden Superior Court on January 8, 2019.
