On January 11, 2019 Hamden Police arrested Joseph Conte Jr., 37, of 2586 Whitney Avenue, Apartment 2-B, Hamden. Conte Jr. was arrested for his involvement in 3 separate burglaries that occurred between November 26, 2018 and December 12, 2018.
On or about November 26th Conte Jr. burglarized a Pinewood Road residence. He forced entry through a basement door. Several pieces of jewelry were stolen.
On December 4th Hamden Police responded to a burglary at a New Road residence. Investigation revealed that Conte Jr. forced entry through a side door. Once inside, he stole jewelry.
On December 12th Hamden Police responded to a New Road residence on the report of a burglary. Investigation revealed that Conte Jr. forced entry through a basement door. Once inside, he stole several items, including money.
Detectives Joseph Liguori and Donald Remillard conducted the investigations, which led to the application of arrest warrants. The court approved the arrest warrant applications.
Joseph Conte Jr. was charged with 3 counts of Burglary in the 3rd Degree, 2 counts of Larceny in the 6th Degree and Larceny in the 5th Degree. In addition, he was arrested and charged with Violation of Probation. Conte Jr. is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on January 25, 2019.
