On October 7, 2018 a 19 year-old New Haven resident arrived at Hamden Police Headquarters to report a robbery.
The teen advised police that on October 5th he was scheduled to meet with a “prostitute” on State Street. Upon arriving on State Street, he was approached by 2 males. The males advised him that they were in the possession of a firearm, while rummaging through his pockets. They stole $140.00.
Shortly thereafter, the 2 males “forced” the teen victim into the backseat of his motor vehicle. One of the subjects drove the victim’s vehicle, while the other sat with the victim in the backseat. They subsequently drove to several local ATM’s and stole an additional $600.00 from the victim’s bank accounts. The victim was then driven to a residence in New Haven, where he was released and his vehicle was returned.
Detective John Marks conducted an extensive investigation, which led to the application of an arrest warrant for Daiquan Hyman. The court approved the arrest warrant application.
