On February 4, 2019 at approximately 10:00a.m. Hamden Police responded to the Whitneyville Food Center, 1248 Whitney Avenue on the report of a robbery.
Investigation revealed that the victim, a 90 year-old female, had withdrawn a substantial amount of money from the nearby bank. As she entered the front door of Whitneyville Food Center, her purse was stolen. The person responsible is described as a white or Hispanic male, 30 years of age, small in stature, medium build.
