On February 24, 2019 at approximately 2:30a.m. Hamden Police responded to the area of Dixwell Avenue and North Street on the report of a “road rage” incident.
Investigation revealed that a 31 year-old Hamden resident was traveling southbound on Dixwell Avenue. His vehicle was being closely followed by a vehicle that was operated by Ebony Bolden. Someone from inside of Bolden’s vehicle threw several bottles that struck and damaged his vehicle. The victim subsequently parked his vehicle on the side of the road.
Moments later, Bolden “made a U-turn on Dixwell Avenue.” Her vehicle then struck the victim’s leg and vehicle. The victim was promptly transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital for medical treatment.
Shortly thereafter, Officer Kyle Sampognaro located Bolden and her vehicle on Dixwell Avenue and Pine Street. Bolden was arrested and transported to police headquarters.
Hamden Police arrested Ebony Bolden, 26, of 76 South Genesee Street, New Haven. She was charged with Assault in the 2nd Degree, Breach of Peace in the 2nd Degree and Evading Responsibility. Bolden, who was detained on a $5,000.00 bond, is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on March 7th.
Officer Darryl Cargill conducted the investigation.
