On March 9, 2019, at approximately 1:30 a.m., Officer Keron Bryce of the Hamden Police Department’s Patrol Division conducted a motor vehicle stop after observing a violation on Bowen Street near Cherry Ann Street. Upon approaching the vehicle, a strong odor of marijuana was emanating from the vehicle.

Investigation led to the driver exiting the vehicle and a loaded firearm was recovered from the driver’s waistband. Further investigation led to the search of the vehicle where a brown box containing a credit card reproduction device and blank credit cards were located.

Hamden Police arrested Jorge Luis Delgado, 20, of 118 Holly Street, Waterbury, CT. Delgado was charged with Weapons in a Motor Vehicle, Carrying a pistol without a permit, Illegal Possession of a high capacity magazine, Unlawful Completion or Reproduction of Credit Cards, and several motor vehicle charges. Delgado was detained on a $10,000.00 dollar and is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on March 25, 2019.
