3/19/2019 - 3/19/19 - Gunshots at Off the Hook Bar on Dixwell Avenue

On March 17, 2019, Hamden Patrol Division members were in the parking lot of “Off the Hook”, 940 Dixwell Avenue, shortly after closing time with a large crowd of people. Officers heard 4 gunshots from an unknown area of the parking lot.

A short time later, a single shell casing was located and officers observed 2 bullet holes on the passenger side of a vehicle that was parked in the lot. The vehicle’s owner was notified of the damage and there were no reported injuries. Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit were notified and will be continuing with the investigation. Officer Timothy McKeon of the Patrol Division conducted the initial investigation.
