12/7/2017 - 12/07/17- Narcotics Arrest
On December 7th members of the Hamden Police Department Street Interdiction Team, Patrol Division and Emergency Services Unit executed a search and seizure warrant at 129 Shepard Street. The search and seizure warrant was the result of a month long drug investigation.
During the search of the residence, officers observed Samuel Mcelveen throw a pillow case out of the window. The pillow case contained 123 wax folds of heroin, weighing 30.5 grams. Mcelveen was promptly arrested and transported to police headquarters.
Hamden Police arrested Samuel Mcelveen, 65, of 129 Shepard Street, Hamden. He was charged with Sale of Narcotics and Possession of Narcotics with the Intent to Sell. Mcelveen, who was detained on a $100,000.00 bond, is scheduled to appear in court in Meriden on December 21st.
