On November 24th at approximately 7:00p.m. Hamden Police responded to Kohl’s Department Store, 2380 Dixwell Avenue on the report of shoplifting.

Investigation revealed that Marcus Jarman stole a watch from the store. While being pursued by a loss prevention officer, Jarman advised her that he was in the possession of a firearm.

Moments later, Officer Rachel Zinni observed Jarman in the rear parking lot of 2380 Dixwell Avenue. He was arrested and transported to police headquarters.

Jarman, 32, of 147 Cook Street, Waterbury was charged with Robbery in the 1st Degree and Larceny in the 6th Degree. He was detained on a $1,000.00 bond. Jarman is scheduled to appear in court in Meriden on December 8th.
