On June 3, 2019 at approximately 11:50p.m. Hamden Police responded to the report of an attempted robbery that occurred on Elliot Drive.
Investigation revealed that the victim, a 20 year-old Hamden resident, drove his vehicle to Elliot Drive to “pick up” his friend. They were subsequently approached by an individual, described as a black male, “long dreads”, wearing black clothing and a ski mask. The individual attempted to forcible enter the vehicle.
The victim fled from the area in his vehicle. The aforementioned described individual entered a BMW and chased the victim for several miles. The victim’s vehicle was “rammed between 4 and 5 times”, causing rear-end damage. The victim was able in elude the suspect vehicle in the area of Lane Street.
