On April 23, 2019 Hamden Police responded to “Dunkin”, 1950 State Street on the report of a commercial robbery.
A store clerk advised officers that a Hispanic male handed her a note. The note stated that he wanted “the money” and that he was in the possession of “a gun.” The cashier subsequently handed him an undisclosed amount of money.
Detective Scott Levenduski conducted the investigation, which led to the application of an arrest warrant for Jose Cubiz. The court approved the arrest warrant application.
On May 15th Hamden Police arrested Cubiz at Meriden Superior Court. Cubiz, 41, of 289 Prospect Avenue, New Haven was charged with Robbery in the 1st Degree and Larceny in the 6th Degree. He was arraigned later in the day.
