On June 18, 2019 at approximately 11:00p.m. Hamden Police responded to Towne House Road on the report of a stabbing.
Moments later, officers found a 37 year-old Wallingford resident, lying on the ground with 2 stab wounds. The victim had been stabbed on the forearm and wrist. Officers immediately rendered medical assistance. Hamden Fire Rescue responded and provided medical treatment. The victim was transported to a local hospital.
Investigation revealed that the victim arrived at 147 Towne House Road and became engaged in a verbal argument with resident James Jansen. Jansen subsequently stabbed him multiple times with a knife.
Hamden Police arrested James Jansen, 35, of 147 Towne House Road, Hamden. He was charged with Assault in the 1st Degree. Jansen, who was detained on a $5,000.00 bond, is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on July 3rd.
