On July 24, 2019 members of the Hamden Police Department, West Haven Police Department and the United States Marshal Service Violent Fugitive Task Force executed a search and seizure warrant at the residence of Shakur Ford, 193 Washington Avenue, 2nd floor, West Haven. The search warrant was in connection with the June 28th shootings on Choate Avenue.
Upon arrival Ford fled, engaging officers in a foot pursuit. He was subsequently arrested and transported to Hamden Police Headquarters.
Hamden Police arrested Shakur Ford, 21, of 193 Washington Avenue, 2nd floor, West Haven. He was charged with Interfering with a Search Warrant. Ford, who was detained on a $5,000.00 bond, is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on August 7th.
