On October 1, 2019 at 3:30p.m. Hamden Police responded to the area of Circular Avenue and Piper Road on the report of a street robbery.

Investigation revealed that a 16 year-old Hamden resident was walking on the sidewalk near Circular Avenue. He was approached by an individual, described as a black male, 18 to 20 years of age, thin build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, with a white rectangular design. The individual demanded the juvenile’s gold chain. The juvenile initially resisted, at which time the individual threatened to shoot him. He subsequently “ripped” the chain off of the juvenile’s neck.

The robbery suspect was last observed entering the passenger seat of a dark blue, 4 door sedan, with New York registration plates. The vehicle was last observed traveling on Valley Road.
