12/13/2017 - 12/13/17-Road Rage Assault
On December 12th at approximately 3:30p.m. Hamden Police responded to the area of Dixwell Avenue and Whitney Avenue on the report of an assault.

Investigation revealed that Elizabeth Dejesus and Edmund Balisciano were engaged in a verbal dispute. Dejesus reported that Balisciano exited his motor vehicle and “yelled” at her. They continued to argue about “bad driving habits.” Dejesus reported that Balisciano threatened her, while placing his hand on a firearm, which was located inside of his vehicle. Balisciano subsequently left the area. 

Shortly thereafter, East Haven Police located Balisciano at his residence. Hamden Police responded to East Haven to continue the investigation. Balisciano was arrested and transported to Hamden Police Headquarters. 

Hamden Police arrested:

Edmund Balisciano, 60, of 254 Russo Avenue, East Haven. He was charged with Threatening in the 1st Degree and Breach of Peace in the 2nd Degree. Balisciano, who was released after posting a $500.00 bond, is scheduled to appear in court in Meriden on December 29, 2017. 

Elizabeth Dejesus, 34, of 666 Ferry Street, 3rd floor, New Haven. She was charged with Breach of Peace in the 2nd Degree. Dejesus was released on a written promise to appear.
