On October 3, 2019 at approximately 4:15a.m. Hamden Police responded to at State Street address on the report of an “unwanted person.”
Upon arrival, the 76 year-old resident advised police that she “heard heavy footsteps downstairs.” In addition, she heard a male talking aloud. The resident subsequently proceeded downstairs and observed the male, later identified as Peter Recchia, seated at her kitchen table. The resident “convinced” Recchia to leave her home. It appears that Recchia entered the residence through an unlocked door.
Moments later, officers located Recchia walking southbound on State Street. The officer determined that Recchia wasn’t a danger to himself or others. He was advised that he could leave.

Peter Recchia is described as a white male, 59 years of age, 5’11”, 150 lbs., gray hair, mustache, green eyes and glasses.
