On November 19, 2019 Hamden Police responded to The Home Depot, 1873 Dixwell Avenue on the report of shoplifting.
Investigation revealed that a person, described as a white male, tall, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt attempted to steal approximately $900.00 worth of power tools and accessories. A Loss Prevention Officer intervened and was successful at recovering the stolen merchandise. The person responsible for the attempted theft fled from the area in a silver Mercedes Benz.
