On February 1, 2020 at 3:30p.m. Hamden Police responded to 22 Warner Street on the report of a stolen motor vehicle.
Investigation revealed that a 92 year-old Hamden resident was operating his vehicle in a rear parking lot, looking for scrap wood inside of dumpsters. The elderly victim was “flagged down” by 2 black males, mid-teens, dressed in black colored clothing. One of the teens opened the driver’s side door, grabbed the victim and threw him onto the ground. The teens subsequently entered the elderly victim’s vehicle and fled eastbound towards Warren Street. There were no reported injuries.

On February 2, 2020 Hamden Police located the stolen vehicle, parked on Third Street. Officers have developed information and hope to make an arrest soon.
