On April 17, 2020 at approximately 4:45a.m. Hamden Police responded to Hobson Avenue on the report of a motor vehicle traveling “recklessly”.
Moments later, Officer Kelley Cushman located the vehicle. Four juveniles exited the vehicle and fled on foot. With the assistance of Officer Cushman’s K-9 partner “Sar”, Officers located the 4 juveniles, hiding in the backyard of homes located on Miles Street and Victor Street. Further investigation revealed that the vehicle that they were traveling in, had been stolen earlier on Fernwood Road.
The four juveniles, who are Hamden residents, were arrested and charged with Larceny in the 3rd Degree, Conspiracy to Commit Larceny in the 3rd Degree, Criminal Mischief in the 3rd Degree and Criminal Trespass in the 3rd Degree. They were all released to the custody of their parents. They will be scheduled to appear in Juvenile Court in New Haven at a later date.
