On June 10, 2020 at approximately 10:30p.m. Hamden Police responded to the report of an armed street robbery that occurred in the parking lot located at 2335 Dixwell Avenue.
Investigation revealed that a 38-year-old New Haven resident was putting groceries inside of his motor vehicle. He was approached by a black male that “pointed a gun” at his face. The male subsequently stole his cell phone. The male then fled, southbound on Dixwell Avenue, in a white SUV.
This incident was the fourth that occurred in a June 10th crime spree, that included 2 armed street robberies and 2 attempted armed street robberies.
The Hamden Police Department Detective Division is conducting the investigation.
