On December 24th at approximately 9:30p.m. Hamden Police responded to 1414 Whitney Avenue on the report of an armed street robbery.
Investigation revealed that an individual, described as a black male, wearing dark clothing, approached a 63 year-old woman as she was exiting her motor vehicle. He then demanded her wallet, while displaying a firearm. The individual subsequently fled on foot, southbound towards Mather Street. A search of the individual was unsuccessful.
