On June 10, 2020 at approximately 7:15p.m. Hamden Police responded to the parking lot located at 2300 Dixwell Avenue on the report of an attempted armed street robbery.
Investigation revealed that a 32 year-old Madison resident was loading items into her motor vehicle. She was approached by 2 teenagers, who pointed a firearm at her. They demanded the keys to her motor vehicle. The victim refused, and subsequently contacted Hamden Police. The males fled in vehicle that they had stolen earlier.
On June 24th members of the Hamden Police Department Detective Division arrested the 2 juveniles. They were both 13 years of age when the crime was committed. They were both charged with Conspiracy to Commit Robbery in the 1st Degree and Conspiracy to Commit Larceny in the 2nd Degree. They are scheduled to appear in Juvenile Court at a later date.
