On October 16, 2019 Hamden Police responded to Wheel’s Citgo, 1624 Dixwell
Avenue on the report of an active burglar alarm.
Investigation revealed that Ronald Doval forcibly entered the business through the front
door. Officers were engaged in a foot pursuit with Doval. Doval eluded police, eventually
fleeing from the scene in a motor vehicle.
Detective Robert Dunham conducted the investigation, which led to the application of an
arrest warrant for Doval. The court approved the arrest warrant application.
On October 8, 2020 Hamden Police arrested Doval at Meriden Superior Court. Doval,
44, of 117 Clay Street, New Haven was charged with Burglary in the 3rd Degree and
Interfering with a Police Officer. He is scheduled to appear at Meriden Superior Court on
December 3, 2020.
