MULTIPLE ARMED ROBBERIES
On October 26th Hamden Police responded to three armed robberies. Below is a brief synopsis of each incident:
Hamden Police responded to the report of an armed robbery at Krauszer’s, 16 Fairview Avenue. The incident occurred at approximately 4:20p.m. Investigation revealed that a “younger black male” walked behind the counter and ordered the clerk to open the register. The suspect pointed a “long-barreled handgun” at the clerk. The suspect fled on foot, northbound on Fairview Avenue. An undisclosed amount of money was stolen.
Hamden Police responded to the report of an armed robbery at Nick’s Package Store, 2644 State Street. The incident occurred at approximately 8:30p.m. Investigation revealed that “two young black males” entered the store. One of the suspects struck the clerk “on the head with a firearm.” The suspects, who were clad in dark clothing, fled, after stealing an undisclosed amount of money.
Shortly thereafter, at approximately 8:50p.m. Hamden Police responded to French-Italian Imports, 4 Circular Avenue on the report of an armed robbery. Investigation revealed that two individuals, described as black males, wearing dark clothing and masks, entered the store brandishing firearms. One of the males stole an undisclosed amount of money, while the second male held the clerk at gunpoint. They were last observed fleeing towards Notkins Street.
