The Hamden Police Department has placed a special emphasis on topics that are affecting law enforcement today. In addition, officers have received training on topics including; Hate and Bias, Crisis Intervention Involving Youth, Sexual Harassment, Domestic Violence and a lecture from members of the Anti-Defamation League.

During the upcoming months of November and December, the Hamden Police Department will host training classes in Fair and Impartial Policing and Autism Awareness.
The Hamden Police Department’s goal is to provide the best possible service to our residents. We strive to meet this goal by training our officers to be caring, thoughtful and educated regarding the needs of our community.
