On February 4th at approximately 3:30a.m. Hamden Police responded to Leeder Hill Drive on the report of 2 males “going through unlocked cars.”

Moments later, Officer Peter Conti and his K-9 partner “Maverick” located evidence and began a track. Officer Conti and Maverick tracked across the street, into a heavily wooded area. The track led to a large cement wall. Officer Conti subsequently lifted Maverick onto to the top of the wall, where the 2 suspects were located.

Hamden Police arrested 2 juveniles. They both reside at The Children’s Center of Hamden, 1400 Whitney Avenue, Hamden. They were charged with Burglary in the 3rd Degree and Criminal Trespass in the 1st Degree. They are scheduled to appear in Juvenile Court in Hartford on February 16th.
