On February 6, 2021 during the early morning hours, Hamden Police responded to a residence, located in southern section of town, on the report of suspicious activity.
Officers determined that Antwuane Darden, a registered sex offender, illegally entered the residence and sexually assaulted a young child, while he/she slept. The child was subsequently transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.
Hamden Police arrested Antwuane Darden, 37, of New Haven. He was charged with Sexual Assault in the 1st Degree, Home Invasion and Risk of Injury to a Minor. Darden, who was detained on a $500,000.00 bond, is scheduled to appear at Meriden Superior Court on February 22, 2021.
