On February 21, 2021 at approximately 10:30p.m. Hamden Police responded to the area of Prospect Street and Morse Street on the report of a motor vehicle accident, involving one vehicle.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the operator of the vehicle, Thomas Henderson, 40, of Hamden was traveling eastbound on Morse Street at a high rate of speed. The vehicle failed to stop for a stop sign, located at the corner of Morse Street and Prospect Street. The vehicle subsequently struck a snowbank, before striking a utility pole.
Hamden Fire Department personnel removed Henderson from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. He has been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
