On March 25, 2021, Hamden Police responded to 2206 State Street, per the request of the New Haven Police Department. New Haven Police, who were investigating another matter, located firearm related items and marijuana inside of the residence.
Hamden Police subsequently seized nine marijuana plants, body armor and two large capacity magazines. Each magazine is capable of storing 30 rounds of ammunition.
Detective Donald Remillard submitted an arrest warrant application for Branden Wright to Meriden Superior Court. The court approved the arrest warrant application.
On May 13th, Wright, 28, of Hamden was arrested at Meriden Superior Court. He was charged with 2 counts of Illegal Possession of a Large Capacity Magazine, Possession of Body Armor, Cultivation of Marijuana and Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was detained on a court-ordered $50,000.00 bond.
