On August 5, 2020, during the early morning hours, Hamden Police responded to the 800 block of Whitney Avenue on the report of a burglary.
Investigation revealed that Therman Blount forcibly entered the home, while the residents, including a 7 month-old, were asleep. The residents were alerted of the intruder, by their dog. Blount subsequently fled from the area on his bicycle, southbound on Whitney Avenue.
Detective Joseph Liguori conducted the investigation, which led to the application of an arrest warrant for Blount. The court approved the arrest warrant application.
On May 27, 2021, Hamden Police arrested Blount, 53, of 65 Twinbrook Road, Hamden at Meriden Superior Court. He was charged with Burglary in the 2nd Degree. Blount was detained on a court-ordered $100,000.00 bond.
