On June 9, 2021, at approximately 2:00a.m. Officer Steven Teague was advised by a concerned citizen that there was a fire in the area of Dixwell Avenue and Hamden Park Drive.
Moments later, officers observed a “working fire” in the rear of 20 Hamden Park Drive. Officers quickly alerted nearby residents and instructed them to vacate their homes.
Investigation revealed that a shed, located in the rear of the property, was deliberately set on fire. In addition, several windows were shattered by gunfire.
The Hamden Fire Department responded to extinguish the fire. The Hamden Fire Marshal’s Office, along with the Connecticut State Fire Marshal’s Office are also conducting an investigation to determine the origin of the blaze.
