On February 3, 2021, Hamden Police responded to Lakewood Apartments, 1199 Whitney Avenue on the report of an unwanted person.
Investigation revealed that Eric Manley, 53, forcibly entered the building and stole a delivered package. He fled from the area in a minivan.
Officer Christian Kaplan conducted the investigation, which led to the application of an arrest warrant for Manley. The court approved the arrest warrant application.
On June 28, 2021, Hamden Police arrested Manley. He was charged with Burglary in the 3rd Degree, Larceny in the 6th Degree and Criminal Trespass in the 3rd Degree. Manley, who was detained on a court-ordered $25,000.00 bond, is scheduled to appear at Meriden Superior Court on October 1st.
